When it comes to flashlights, I see many lights labeled "tactical" when they are the furthest thing from it. So what, exactly, defines a tactical flashlight? What are the features and benefits a particular flashlight provides that deems it "tactical?" 

For some time, tactical flashlights or tactical lights were any light mounted to a weapon. However, over the years, these lights have fallen into their own category of "weapon mounted lights." So that leaves us to flashlights one holds in their hand.

Making a flashlight small and black does not make it a tactical light, contrary to what many companies would like you to believe. So let's go over some of the features you should look for when considering purchasing a true tactical flashlight.

One of the questions I get asked the most while with friends and family is "How much does a bulletproof vest cost?" However, before I answer this question, I like to respectfully correct them on the language they are using.

When it comes to body armor, you're really looking at two (2) options; soft body armor and hard body armor. Soft body armor is rated to stop bullets shot out of a handgun while hard body armor is rated to stop bullet shot out of a handgun and a rifle. That's a very elementary breakdown but I want to keep it super simple as many people reading this may have no clue about ballistics and body amor. If you're not one of those people, don't be offended. Just trying to keep things basic for those who are new to body armor and clueless about all this stuff.

Some of you may be wondering exactly what a pair of jeans has to do with EDC. As the above video demonstrates, these jeans give you plenty of options for carrying your gun and gear the way you want. That makes having your EDC gear with you a lot easier.
