221B Ballistics Level IV Silicon Carbide Body Armor Plate

Serious rifle protection with less weight to carry. The 221B Ballistics Level IV plate uses silicon carbide ceramic in a design intended to balance protection, weight, and mobility.

The 10 × 12 inch plate is single-curve and shooter-cut for a close fit in compatible plate carriers. Also available in 6 × 6 and 11 × 14 inch sizes. Weight and fit may vary by size.

BALLISTIC TEST INFORMATION

A 5.29 lb sample was independently tested at Oregon Ballistic Laboratories. It received three .30-caliber M2AP impacts with zero penetrations recorded. Testing followed an abbreviated, modified NIJ-STD-0101.06 Level IV protocol.

This test result applies to the tested sample. It does not establish that every size has the same weight or performance, or that the plate is NIJ certified.
