If you want 2026 to be your best year ever, not just a good year but a year that actually changes the trajectory of your life, it comes down to three things. Health, wealth and knowledge. Get these right and everything else tends to fall into place. Get them wrong and no amount of motivation or hustle will save you.
Let me talk to you like I would a close friend.
First is health. Because without it, none of the rest matters.
One of the most powerful changes I have made in my own life is fasting. Not in a trendy or extreme way, but in a disciplined and intentional way. When you give your body breaks from constantly digesting food, insulin levels drop. When insulin drops, your body becomes more insulin sensitive again, which is exactly where you want to be. This is when fat burning really improves, especially visceral fat.
Ever see a guy who looks like they are in decent shape but have a belly? That's caused by visceral fat. That deep internal fat around your organs that drives inflammation, fatigue and metabolic disease. You start to feel clearer. Lighter. Sharper. Your energy stabilizes instead of spiking and crashing all day.
Along with fasting, you have to clean up what you put in your body. Processed foods are designed for shelf life and profit, not for human performance. They disrupt hormones, increase inflammation and quietly sabotage your health over time. If it comes in a box with a long ingredient list you cannot pronounce, it probably does not belong in your body.
The same goes for seed oils. They are everywhere and they are one of the biggest drivers of chronic inflammation today. They were never meant to be a staple of the human diet. Removing them alone can dramatically improve how your joints feel, how your gut works and how your body recovers. This is not about perfection. It is about awareness and making better decisions most of the time.
Next is wealth.
Most people think wealth is just about making more money. It is not. It is about coordination. One of the most eye opening concepts I have learned comes from the book LEAP and the idea of a wealth coordination account. I am not going to go deep here on purpose. But the simple version is this. Instead of having your money scattered across checking accounts, savings accounts, retirement accounts and investments that do not talk to each other, everything is coordinated with a clear strategy and purpose.
When money is coordinated, it becomes more efficient. It works harder. It gives you options. It reduces stress. It creates clarity. And most importantly, it gives you control. This is one of those concepts that once you understand it, you cannot unsee how broken the traditional system is. If this sparks curiosity, that is intentional. This is a conversation worth having.
Finally is knowledge.
Learning about taxes and investing is one of the most powerful things you can do for yourself and your family. It completely changed my life.
Most people work their entire lives without ever understanding how money actually moves, how taxes really work or how investments grow over time. That lack of knowledge quietly costs them hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions of dollars over a lifetime.
When you understand taxes, you stop overpaying out of ignorance. When you understand investing, you stop relying on hope and start relying on math, time and strategy. This knowledge does more than build wealth. It reduces anxiety. It gives you confidence. It allows you to make better decisions in business, in career choices and even in how you raise your kids.
Other areas of knowledge I've grown in over the recent years have been Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and learning Portuguese. Putting myself into a mood of constant learning has made living life so much more meaningful. I recently received by Brown Belt in BJJ and just a few nights ago was able to have a (basic) conversation with someone from Brazil who spoke zero English. Both of these accomplishments just felt really good. Just makes you feel like you're doing something with your life and not just going through the motions.
Honestly, it doesn't matter what you choose. So long as you're learning something, you are growing. And I'm a firm believer that this is what helps keep us young.
Here is the truth. 2026 does not need to be perfect to be your best year ever. It just needs to be intentional. If you focus on improving your health, coordinating your wealth and expanding your knowledge, everything else becomes easier to navigate. You show up better as a spouse, a parent, a leader and a human being.
This is how real transformation happens. Quietly. Consistently. One decision at a time.
And if you want help going deeper on any of this, especially around wealth coordination and long term strategy, you know where to find me.
